‘.. a spokeswoman for parents Gerry and Kate McCann say they were not giving credence to the claims at this stage and are focusing on events to boost awareness of her disappearance.
The spokeswoman said: “Their whole attitude from day one has been that they know there are going to be lots of bits of information but if they expended energy on every single one of them what would they be like by now?
“Until they hear that something has been checked out and there is a resolution of the piece of information one way or the other and that comes from an official source they are not going to focus on it.”
Instead, they will lead a balloon release in up to 50 countries to mark the 50th day of their daughter’s disappearance.
The two doctors, from Rothley in Leicestershire, will release 50 yellow helium-filled balloons on the beach at the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz, where Madeleine was staying when she was abducted.

Madeleine Mccann has been missing from the algarve area in Portugal since May 3rd. Her parents have undergone tremendous scrutiny since and have been accused by many to be somehow involved in a big hoax or worse. Very few people have given specifics just BIG vague accusations. Certainly no one could possibly have planned on this much media attention or public interest. So whaddya all think they did exactly besides the obvious and ruthlessly repeated subject of parental negligence? Obviously this was poorest of judgement… so a hoax or worse? but who would set up something like this in such a way where they COULD BE accused of negligence? Seems they could not possibly have been involved in anything beyond what they have publicly discussed!
How about some petitions for the severest of penalties against convicted pedophiles? NOW! We need an international police that deals specifically with them ..not petitions against loving parents!!

We have all heard on the news about Maddie ,the three year old little girl who has gone missing in the Algarve.Do you think it would be a good idea to bring a phsycis into it to investigate..What about getting Britains Best Phsicic in ?

TAPPING CONFIRMS MADELEINE´S DEATH
New researches either on the land or in the sea achieved during the last two days
Tapping over phones and e-mails recently performed by the Policia Judiciária and the British police on Madeleine McCann´s parents and her “family circle” has been decisive for the investigators to conclude that the British child was dead in the apartment where she was sleeping together with her siblings, on the night of the 3rd of May, in Praia da Luz.
The police is keeping on concentring the attentions in that area, far from the public eyes, and especially from those of the media. During the last two days at least, new searches have been achieved on the land and on the seaside, particularly in the Lagos area, with the help of the British dogs and the GNR.
According to a police source, this action will be intensified during the next days. Surely, either Maddie´s parents or other members of the family and friends currently in England will be called back for questioning by the DIC (Criminal Investigation Department) in Portimão, without being known on what basis. The Policia Judiciária want to requestion them in order to clarify the contradictions between their statements. Kate´s parents are in the Algarve, “accompanying” the couple and their children.
For the record, approximately one week after the child´s disappearance and after the police having put clear the abudction theory given by the parents, Gerald McCann stayed in the police premises over 13 hours, leaving at 3:00 am the next morning.
Kate, being also questioned at the same time, left sooner (22:00), allegedly for feeling tired. On the next meeting at the Policia Judiciária, among other facts, they will be confronted with the contents of phone calls and e-mails, as well as the results of the checkings on the grey Renault Scenic car used by the couple in Praia da Luz.
Meanwhile, the McCanns intend to transmit an image of serenity and confidence regarding the investigations. Nevertheless, they yesterday revealed feeling “very upset” about the the news that their daughter died in the apartment.
Interrogated on the blood splashes found in the apartment in the Ocean Club, Gerry and Kate pointed out that they don´t have any access to the results of the investigations
and that they would never do anything that could jeopardize the investigation.
Swiss paedophile was in Praia da Luz
The alleged relation between a swiss paedophile who would have abducted a girl on the last week-end and Maddie´s case was considered important, due to the similarity with a man who was holidaying in the Algarve at the time Madeleine vanished.
The man´s behaviour, owning a white van that remained few days in front of the apartment of the McCanns´family and that vanished just after Madeleine´s disappareance, is considered particularly dubious. He was living in Spain at the time of the events, but vanished for ever.
Maddie´s parents went off their house only after the media insistency.

McCanns To Move Out Of Spotlight
The parents of missing youngster Madeleine McCann are flying back to Portugal.
Kate and Gerry McCann have been in Morocco as part of their campaign to find the four-year-old. It has been been 40 days since Madeleine was snatched from her bed in the family’s holiday apartment in the Algarve.
The McCanns said they would now take some time out to grieve for their missing daughter. They have said they will step back from the media spotlight but the search for their four-year-old will carry on. “Our role in the campaign will probably not be as public as it has been during the last three weeks,” said Mr McCann.
“We certainly want to take time to reflect on what has been achieved and how best we can help the investigation. There will be a period of reflection.”
The couple are also keen to get back to Praia da Luz - the scene of Madeleine’s abduction - to spend time with their two-year-old twins, Sean and Amelie.

She was with her twin brother and sister, who were asleep when the parents returned and found her missing.they went out for a meal and said they took it in turns to go and check on the children every half hour, i do sympathise with them but im sorry in my opinion in a foreign country i wouldnt dare leave my kids for 2 mins never mind alone in a room at night even though they said they locked all windows and the door ,seems this villa had baby sitting facilities which they didnt want , the family had insisted she was abducted because there was evidence of a forced entry into the villa where the family was staying.i pray to god she will be found safe and well but i wonder if other parents will learn from this awfull tragedy not to leave kids alone ?
