Whats The Weather Like In Algarve At Christmas. What Do I Pack?

I don’t know whether you are male or female however, the Algarve probably is the best place to be at Christmas especially if you reside in a country that is cold in winter, like me (Canada). There is no snow but swimming would be out of the question as the ocean would be way too cold. Mind you, if you are brave, I guess you could dip your toes. You can walk around in a light jacket though.
I would suggest that you pack:
jeans, or slacks. some sweatshirts , shirts, t-shirts, something to wear if it rains to keep dry. If you are packing for a female, I personally would pack the same as above but I would take along a warm skirt and jacket just for those special times. A good pair of walking shoes/runners and socks. I hope you have a terrific time and wish I were going also. Our family home is in the Algarve. Don’t forget to try the many wonderful sea food delights.

It’ll probably be like wet spring in Ottawa, if that’s meaningful to you. Pack clothes for minimum 10ºC (though you’ll get much warmer too, but it’s easy enough to remove clothes!). Be prepared for some rain (Atlantic influence). And bring along some shorts and a sun hat incase you luck-in.

Pack a parka, ski boots, skis, and a surfboard. Take lots of vitamins and beware of the tarantulas.

It is the coldest resort in southern europe at xmas, also nearly everwhere is closed, that is why you can go there for next to nothing, I have worked there for the last 10 years and always come back to britain at xmas, as its warmer in britain at that time of year.

It’s generally like British springtime, but can vary like anywhere. I have sat on the beach on Christmas day, with the sun beating down on me, but other years it has been as cold as England, take a mix of warm sweaters, and t shirts, but make sure you take something warm for evening time, as it gets pretty cold, and damp.
